Monitoring & Pricing Guide
A simple breakdown of how our monitoring works and what it costs
How Monitoring Works
Start with the Platform. The Starter Package ($299/mo) gives you the full Netverge platform, including 150 monitoring sensors to get started.
Deploy Vergepoints. Vergepoints are where your sensors live. Deploy them on-site (hardware appliance), on your own VM or Raspberry Pi, or in AWS for external monitoring.
Install Sensors. Each sensor monitors one thing on one device. A small site might use 10 to 20 sensors. A larger site might use 50 or more. Each sensor costs $1/mo, and your first 150 are included with the platform.

How Sensor Count Works
You choose what to monitor and how deeply.
Sensor count is not determined by the number of assets you have, the type of asset, or the number of features on a device. You decide how many sensors to deploy based on what visibility you need.
Each sensor monitors one specific thing on one device. For example, a single server might have a Path Probe (to check connectivity) and a Windows Sensor (to check disk, CPU, and services). That's 2 sensors on 1 device. A simple device might only need 1 sensor. A critical device might warrant 3 or 4.
The number of sensors per site depends entirely on how many devices you want to monitor and how much detail you want on each one. You're always in control of what gets deployed.
What counts as a sensor?
One sensor per discovered or monitored device. Vendor probes like FortiProbe, MerakiProbe, and UniFiProbe auto-discover everything in your fleet — each device they find (firewall, switch, AP, server) bills as one sensor.
Each capability you add is its own sensor on firewalls, routers, switches, and servers. A Fortinet firewall with full monitoring — online + vendor portal + nightly config backup — is 3 sensors: a Path Probe for reachability, a Vendor probe for SNMP/portal telemetry, and a ConfigBackup. An access point monitored through its controller is 1 sensor either way (the controller probe covers both reach and observability, and the config lives on the controller, not the AP).
Quick example: an MSP with 60 firewalls/routers, 350 switches, and 400 APs monitoring online + vendor portal + config backup would be ~1,630 sensors — 60 × 3 = 180 sensors for firewalls/routers (Path Probe + Vendor probe + ConfigBackup), 350 × 3 = 1,050 sensors for switches (same triple), and 400 × 1 = 400 sensors for APs (single controller-managed vendor probe).
Common Sensor Types
Example Scenarios
Example A: Full On-Site Monitoring
A client site with 9 devices: 1 Fortinet firewall, 1 Ubiquiti switch, 5 Ubiquiti APs, 1 Windows server, and 1 Linux server.
The 18 sensors draw from your platform's 150 included sensors first, so no extra sensor cost until you exceed 150 total across all sites.
Example B: Remote Monitoring via AWS
Monitor 11 client locations externally from a single Vergepoint hosted on Netverge's AWS (free hosting) or your own AWS. Each site gets a Path Probe and FortiProbe on its public-facing firewall IP.
External monitoring covers public-facing devices only. For inside-the-network visibility, deploy a Vergepoint on-site.
Example C: Inside + Outside Monitoring for 6 Sites
An MSP with 5 branch offices and 1 HQ. Each branch has 1 Fortinet firewall, 1 Ubiquiti switch, and 3 Ubiquiti APs. HQ has 2 firewalls, 4 switches, 15 APs, and 4 Windows servers. A cloud Vergepoint provides external monitoring across all 6 sites.
5 Branch Sites (each)
HQ Site
External (AWS Cloud)
All 112 sensors fall within the 150 included with the Starter Package — no extra sensor costs. Add more sites or sensors anytime as you grow.
À La Carte Add-Ons
* Auto-provisioned when current allocation is exceeded.
Artemis AI Agents
Artemis agents are autonomous AI workers that monitor, analyze, and respond to events across your network. Your Starter Package includes 10 agents.
What Agents Do
- • Continuously watch sensor data for anomalies
- • Correlate alerts across devices and sites
- • Generate root-cause analysis summaries
- • Automate responses and escalations
How They're Priced
- • 10 agents included with the Starter Package
- • Additional AI agents: $100/month per 10 agents
Data Storage & Retention
All monitoring data, logs, and analytics are stored securely. Your Starter Package includes 500GB of storage with 1-year data retention.
500GB
Included with Starter
1 Year
Data Retention
$100/mo
Per additional 500GB
Storage is auto-provisioned when your current allocation is exceeded.
Advanced Scenarios

Example E: Storage-Heavy Environment
A company with 50 sites, 400 sensors, and 1-year data retention generates ~1.2TB of monitoring data per month across SNMP polls, flow data, and logs.
Storage Usage
Storage auto-provisions in 500GB blocks when your current allocation is exceeded. All data is retained for 1 year by default.
